CONSIDERATION OF PROPOSED PUBLIC PETITION PP702

The Pars Trust wil head to Holyrood tomorrow to present their calling on the Scottish Parliament to urge the Scottish Government to re-introduce safe standing areas at Scottish Premier League football stadia to give professional clubs the option to have seated or standing areas at their football grounds.

The petition will be considered by the Public Petitions Committee at its meeting on Tuesday 5 May and Stephen, Andrew & Deborah will make the case to the committee.

Scottish Cup Final - Roar the Pars to Victory
With over 6200 Pars Fans from across the world heading to Hampden on Sunday, the Trust are asking all fans of all ages to get right behind Jim McIntyre and team and roar the team to victory.

In has not been the best of seasons at home or in the league, but this is the Scottish Cup and a Semi Final against our biggest rivals, time to put it aside and all 6,000 or 7,000 by Sunday get right behind Jim & the Boys and push the team in yet another Cup Final in May.

The Pars Trust AGM was held on the Monday 23 March, where the accounts, actvity over the last 12 months was discussed.

The AGM confirmed the reappointment of Andrew Bailey and Gordon Milne and the appointment of Deborah Paton and Helen Blyth to the committee.

Trust helps out with the Legends
A small team of our members organised the Pars Legends v Ajax Amateurs football game with a great deal of assistance from John Watson and Christine Curtis. A total of £4k was raised for Fife Children’s Charities.

Phil French joins Supporters Direct

The Board of Directors of Supporters Direct is today pleased to announce the appointment of Phil French as its new Chief Executive.

The appointment comes at an important time for the organisation’s development as it seeks to build on the 125 Supporters’ Trusts in operation and help ensure that Supporters Direct becomes an ever more powerful and responsible force in the game.

A Time for getting behind DAFC....
With two important matches coming up over the festive period, now is the time that the club and the players need our support most.

Just a couple of points between Livingston, Dundee and ourselves, so come on get up to East End Park on Monday and New Years Day to cheer them on.

We as supporters need to forget the moaning and get behind the team to get those six points...and then enjoy the trip to Methil.

Trust Meetings update
Hi Everyone

At the meeting of the Pars Supporters` Trust members in October, we agreed that in future we would be holding our member`s meetings on a quarterly basis rather than monthly meetings which we have been holding for the last year.

There will therefore be no meetings held in November or December 2004.

I will get back to you all in January with the dates of the 2005 Trust meetings, however if there are any areas you want the Management Team to look at, please get in touch as we are still holding Management Meetings during this period.

East Fife Cup Game ticket news
DAFC have received an allocation of 800 tickets for the East Fife cup game on 8 January 2005.

Tickets will be available to season ticket holders first using voucher "T" and restricted to 2 tickets per person.

Founders Event - Sunday 18th April 2004
Founder Members - Player presentation

This coming Sunday 18th April will see the Pars Supporters Trust formally hand over the Trust share certificates to the 36 Founder members of the trust at a family event to be held in the Rennie Suite at East End Park between 2pm & 4pm.

The format of the day will be informal and to make this an enjoyable and family occasion for all founders members, family members have also been invited along to join in the player presentation.
